Characteristics The CP-2000 is the latest development of the famous Instrument Design Bureau KBP Tula, Russia. Today is already in use with some units of the Russian Federation (the police and state security). As such it is a compact weapon with as few parts as possible to improve reliability, simplify maintenance and be low cost. It is designed to use 9 x 19 Parabellum cartridges of any version, and the cartridge 9 x 19 Russian 7N31 P . When loaded with 7N31 cartridges, the CP-2000 offers better penetration against body armor, capacity comparable to the FN P90 and Heckler Koch MP7, while retaining the superior stopping power of 9 x 19 Parabellum cartridge. An unusual feature is the ability to store a magazine of 44 cartridges in a magazine rack located at the rear of the rifle, which also functions as a folding stock. Also available is a wire folding stock.Another unusual feature of this rifle is the lack of a charging handle. Instead, they should pull the exposed bolt carrier that is on the front of the weapon.
