Secretary of State

Secretary of State for Sport on 19 April 2004 was appointed Chairman of the Sports Council with the rank of Secretary of State by the Government of Jos Luis Rodr guez Zapatero. Since this year is also the juror's Prince of Asturias Award for Sports.

Diego Rodriguez de Silva y Vel zquez (1599 -1660) Born in Seville, Spain. Naturalist painter of the Baroque period, devoted to portraits, landscapes, scenes of daily life, religious and mythological paintings. At 21, Velasquez and is a well recognized artist in his hometown.
