Week 22 - September 26th This week we started doing the environmental trial defending our positions against the project "seams". In these cases we learned that where a project will generate an environmental impact, not easy to make a decision because there are several parties who are involved and both for and against. We continued the week with the issue of water pollution, one of the most important chemical components of living beings and life in general. I was surprised to learn that 100 of the planet's water is only 8 of that remains for domestic use. Water is easily contaminated by its property of being soluble, in short plain water does not exist in nature, as water can easily dissolve other substances in it. The water according to its properties: It is odorless, colorless, tasteless and do not have any of these three fundamental characteristics mean that it is contaminated. Week September 29 to 02 of Octubre On the first day of classes this week answered a questionnaire (class work) delivered by the teacher that consisted of six questions concerning the matter that we have seen so far. The second class we continue to water pollution. As mentioned in previous classes that water had no odor, taste and color. Not having any of these natural features that we were too pro contaminated water. Example in the smell if we had a oily smell in the presence of hydrocarbons contaminating the water may also be naturally occurring contaminants in the water if this aromatic odor, presence of camphor or naturally occurring species. Color also can be affected by particles or suspended matter such as sedimentation, which is responsible for lowering the passage of solar energy, resulting in a lower photosynthetic activity. Week 06 to October 10 This week we saw a case in which class presented a project to build a dam on the river Chicot. As in almost all cases of environmental impact, the parties involved are varied and both for and against the bill. The construction of a dam creates a large environmental impact after altering the ecosystem of a river and flooding large areas and even villages and cemeteries.
