Now we have many ways to connect to Windows Live Messenger, whether or through programs Multiplatforms and / or Multi-either through applications that Microsoft makes available free of charge and official. In this post precisely customers will see officers.

Windows Live Messenger

Well, this is the customer official par excellence because it is being developed for Windows systems. We find the current version 2008 (8.5) that came out officially in November 2007.

Among its main features are the usual chat in real time with our friends, take the list organized by groups, video, games, emoticons and winks as well as incorporate some new features such as shared folders, ability to add friends from Yahoo! chat or so offline.

Unlike previous versions of MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger only works with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista. So if we have old equipment will have to resort to programs or Multi third (and go into depth elsewhere).

Messenger: Mac

Let's talk now of the Messenger client for Mac. Microsoft is aware that on this platform are also lovers Messenger and would be silly to waste the opportunity to introduce its own application systems in competition. So from a few years ago has been developing Messenger: Mac, which now goes by that version 7 was born in April this year.

Its characteristics do not differ too much from the Windows version, and even incorporates some more as the ability to search through talks between our Spotlight, spellchecker in the talks or even able to set up an account Exchange for use as domestic chat.

Although also miss some options that the client for Windows are basic and are not present here. As the winks and drones, handwriting (draw), change the background image on the screen while offline conversation or chat. Undoubtedly is a little blatant that some of these things are not present because for me are quite basic.

To install the latest version in our Mac will have to be called Mac OS X 10.4.9 (Tiger) or higher. If we have a previous operating system will have to download any older version of the same.

MSN Web Messenger

MSN Web Messenger is the perfect choice for when we do not want to install any software on our computer external or if we simply away from home and the only thing we have is a web browser.

With MSN Web Messenger we can chat without any problem with our contacts, add new or send emoticons. But we can not see the photo of our contacts or do videoconferencing.

It's a very limited application, but neither is designed to supplant the desktop application, but we will save lives at any given time. MSN Web Messenger requires Windows and Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, Netscape 7.1 or later or Mozilla 1.6 or later.

Currently is preparing a version of Live same, but is not yet available to the general public.

Windows Live Messenger Mobile

Finally we found this client for Microsoft mobile devices such as PDAs, smart phones or mobile phones. It comes default with devices including Windows Mobile 6 and is also available for some terminals of the Nokia S60 series.

Among its features, apart from the basic, we find the option to mandar small audio clips, emoticons and images. We can use both data plans or WiFi, if the device supports it.

Windows Messenger

Windows Messenger is a small application that Microsoft first included in Windows XP and that came to be the default application chat over it. It included very basic options and although they could connect to the network of MSN Messenger was not designed solely for that purpose.

Windows Messenger is thought as a channel of communication within the company and integrates with the accounts of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express (now Windows Live Mail) among many other things.

Its interface is extremely basic and to begin to function must set up a Passport account that automatically be associated with our user in the system. At first it was thought to upgrade and integrate it with Windows Vista, but eventually discarded the idea.

So far this particular chapter of Windows Live Messenger, we are in the following deliveries.
